It would be great if there was a monitor that checked WSUS for a server's patching needs and alerted on the outstanding patches.

here is a script I have been using to do it manually with a batch file.

I have added a request to add this monitor. We are currently working on our next release. I will try to get this added as soon as possible.

Any chance on this one making the next couple of releases?

I spent a full day on this and came down to the issue of not being able to get the information remotely.

Is that because the default install is on SQL express and doesnt allow remote connections? I have WSUS sitting on our chared SQL and remote connection works fine.

Sorry I must have misunderstood the request. I thought WSUS referred to patch management. The link provided is no longer valid. What do you need to monitor?

Here is an updated link. essentially I would like cornerbowl to hit the WSUS database and get the results of inidividual computers needing updates.
