During an upgrade installation, I receive an error stating the service does not have sufficient rights to start.

The password the service is running under was changed. When you receive the error, open the Service Control Manager. Select the Network Event Viewer service. Open the service properties dialog and specify the appropriate credentials. Start the service. From the installation, select Retry.

Are you able to start the service using the local system account? If not, please install or re-install the .Net 3.51 Framework and try again.

Running Windows 2K Pro, I wasn't able to install .NET Framework 3.5. I don't think it's compatible. I tried manually going to the services and starting it manually and got another error also.

Log Manager can not be installed on Win2K as it requires .Net 3.51. The software should not have installed. You must manage Win2K machines remotely with Log Manager.
